Calculating Age in Access 2000

What is the best way to calculate a date in a form. I have a Date of Birth field and would like to also show the age.

Also, I have a field that is a red flag date. If a person tries to do something before a certain date I would like a message box or warning to pop up. Any ideas? Thanks!!

Re: Calculating Age in Access 2000

    Hi Sherri,

For calcuating age, check out this post.

As for flagging a field, there are several ways to go about it. You could certainly use a MsgBox. Another idea is to use a format change instead (i.e. making the offending value turn RED).
You can use the Conditional Formatting that's built-in to Access 2000 (under the Format menu). Set the condition to:
Field Value is, Greater than (or whatever), [Forms]![YourFormName]![FlagDate].Value

    Hope this helps
