    Save Location for Attachments (2002)

    I was woundering if it's possible to change the default save location for attachments?

    I heard there was a reg hack for this, but it affects all Office products. I'll try and find the FAQ for you.

    There's information at Slipstick here. I don't bother with this because Outlook remembers the last used Save location.

    Thanks for the input.
    Unfortunately, messing with Windows Registry is unacceptable.
    Hopefully Microsoft will include the feature in the next release.

    You don't want to change the location of the default My Documents folders unless you want them moved from the My Documents and Settings path. Instead, use the Places Bar to hold a shortcut to the folder you want to use for Outlook attachments.

    It's not changed in Outlook 2003 and I doubt it's a high priority, since Places Bar is perfect for this.

    If you are talking about the default location files often save to when you open a file from Outlook (unders Temp Internet Files), that is the securetemp location and it can be moved with a registry edit.
