Remembered folders

(Edited by Granville on 16-Oct-03 11:24. Forgot to note the version in the original.)
Under my "My Network Places" I have a number of "remembered" folders which I really don't want. These are different to map drives but I think they are what MS has called "Web folders". I am using Win2000 Pro SP3.

How do I delete/remove them? The right click drop-down menu offers a "Delete" option but I am wary about this in case it deletes the contents of an actual directory. My search around on-line Help has drawn a blank, well a circle actually 'cos I ended up where I had started.

    TIA.

    Granville--

You can safely remove them. When you open a file that is located on a file server share, a shortcut to the server share is automatically added to My Network Places

    How?

Right click delete or hold down ctrl +left mouse then shift+delete and adios.

I thought you were more concerned with the why or the [i[should I?[/i]: The concensus is "Go Ahead and blow them away:"

    Re: Remembered folders

Great, thanks. They've gone! I'd figured out for Help the why they existed, I was just a bit nervous how to make them go away.

Also a for two more useful sites!
