    Margins/Printing (Word XP/2002)

We are having more problems with XP and printing. Mostly the following error "The margins of section 1 are set outside the printable area of the page" Do you want to continue?" If I tell it to "fix the problem," the bottom margin is reset to 2.67" which I certainly don't want. If I tell it to "Ignore" the problem, it will keep the 1" bottom margin in the page set-up box, but it won't print the bottom 3" of my document. It acts as though the 2.67" bottom margin is in effect "behind the scenes" somewhere.
I have searched Microsoft and cannot find anything to fix this problem.

    Any suggestions?

Are you using HP LaserJet printers on Windows 2000 or Windows XP? If so, hop over to HP LaserJet Beta. Select the operating system you are using, then look under "Word Margins Fix" to see if an updated driver for your printer model is available.

Coo! I never knew HP did beta drivers!

Pity they don't do beta firmware, say for the LaserJet 3330MFP...

Yes! following the suggested instructions to check the HP LaserJet Beta website today, and doing the suggested search and following a link, I found
this! which basically says that if you deselect the option "Allow A4/Letter paper resizing" in the word print tab options, the phenomenon, goes away ---and it did!
