    unviewable (2000)

I have been passed a spreadsheet with a macro attached to it which need to update. However when I try to access the project within the projects window, I get the error message "Project unviewable". I cannot find unviewable in the help menu, so can someone please tell me how to access the macro.

Seems like this is either a protected project (with XP) or a project that has been signed in XP. Request an unprotected version from the sender.

The creator has left the firm and both the protect and un-protect menu items are greyed out.

We do not have XP. All staff are on windows 2000.

Is it best just to copy the worksheets into a new book and start again?

You could do that, but it will not get you at the code (which is what I understood you wanted).

If the file is (zipped) under 100 K and does not contain propriatry information, you could attach it here, so I can have a look.
