Mail Merge Using Address Book (2000)

I want to use my Contacts info from Outlook to perform MailMerge in Word. Where does Word get the list of Merge Field names that it assumes, and can I revise it so that it uses the specific fields that I want to use from my Contacts List? Thanks, Andy.

Does the list in this thread apply to merges, too?

Unfortunately without jumping through lots of hoops, in 2000 you are pretty much limited to the fields you get from the merge process. 2002 gives you more fields, including the user fields, but still doesn't give you all the fields in Outlook. The alternative is to write a bunch of Automation code in Word and actually extract the data you want from Outlook and create your merge all in code. Not for the faint of heart.
