    Subform (A2k)

I have placed a subform on a main form. The subform won't let me add any data.
    The specs are:

    Main Form:
    Controlsource = Query

    Sub Form :
This was created with the wizard and the option "Use Existing Form", Continuous view.

The two forms are linked by:
    Master: [Code] - Autonumber
    Child: [EmpID] - Number,Long

Both forms do not have the same table as the root.
    Why can't I add data ?

    What is te problem exactly?
    - The "new record" button in the toolbar and in the navigation buttons of the subform is greyed out, or
    - You can start adding a new record in the subform, but you get an error message. If so, what does it say?

    Dave,

Could you post a stripped down copy of the database?

    Hans
On importing into a demo database to post, I was prompted for a module I use "LockControls"
I forgot I locked the form on open, so thats why I couldn't add the record.
    BTW
I'm testing at the moment (again) I am at critical point and have one stumbling block which I've spent weeks avoiding.
I need more guinee pigs to test on.

Thanks anyway, although the problem is solved.
