Suming a filtered text box. (access 97)

    hi all,
i am trying to sum textbox named "WA COST" when I filter data on a form, the textboxt "WA COST" has this as its Control Source as =[COST]*[% OF FILTERED]

[COST] is data from a table
[% OF FILTERED] is another textboxt that has its Control Source as =[MTD PROD QTY]/[FILTER QTY]
[MTD PROD QTY] is data from a table
[FILTER QTY] is a textbox that has its controld source as =sum([MTD PROD QTY])

i think i have too many looping formulas, please and thank-you for any suggestions to fix this.

    thanks all!

If I understand correctly, you should be able to use the following expression:

    =Sum([COST]*[MTD PROD QTY])/Sum([MTD PROD QTY])
