    Word 97/SR2 (Table - pasting cells )

    Evening -
In a table, after pasting to an 'interior' column, (i.e, a 3rd, 5th, etc column), the cursor jumps to the first column. It doesn't matter if it's only I cell I'm copying or multiple cells.

    Is this "normal" behavior?

    Thanks for any insights.

This might be a result of what it is you are pasting. When I paste plain text from one cell to another

    Hi Curious:
I can't duplicate the behavior in Word 2000. Does this happen with all tables, all tables in one document, or in all documents? If it's one table or document, maybe you can post it.

    Hi -

You got it. If I select only the text to paste, I'm fine. Of course, it's more time consuming, but, then again, I'm not jumping around. Thank you for that.

I have another question, but I think I should send it as a new post.

    Speak w/ya soon....

    Thanks, again.
