    internet explorer -which version

    I think I remember reading in a newsletter "recommend this version of Internet Explorer" or something like that. The suggestion being install a version of IE but not a later version. I think there was also an explanation of the numerical soup that is the provided under help about to explain which version/build of IE is being run.
    I cannot find it in the archives. Either I am not remembering it correctly or I am searching with the wrong keywords.
    Can someone point me to the right place?

    I use 5.01 SP2. Whether it's bad luck or prevalence in the marketplace, I just hear about a lot of problems with 5.5. Somewhere on this board is a link to where 5.01 SP2 is hidden up at MS.
