Keyboard Shortcuts in Templates (Word 2000)

    Hello Word Gurus,

I am wondering does Word actually save the keyboard shortcuts you assign to macros within a template? If I copy the macros from one template to another it appears that the shortcut keys go missing? Can you help me?

    Cheers,

    Jocelyn

Yes, each keyboard shortcut is stored in a template, see screenshot. If you copy a macro from one template to another, the assigned shortcut doesn't get copied with it. Word does not have a built-in way to transfer keyboard shortcuts, but Chris Woodman has created a free Shortcut Organizer.
