    Lynden:

    On UK keyboards, the combination CTRL+ALT+4 inserts the Euro symbol. (The '4' key also has '$').

    You can also use <alt> 0128
    [Hold alt key, and enter 0128 using the numeric keypad (not the top row of number keys)]

    Found solution. For US keyboards use Alt 0128 (on the numeric keypad)
