    Accepting Deletions in Track changes (WORD 2002)

    Is there a way to set up WORD to accept ALL deletions but NOT all changes?

    You could try a simple Macro like

    Public Sub AcceptDeletions()
    Dim rvsTemp As Revision
    For Each rvsTemp In ActiveDocument.Revisions
    If rvsTemp.Type = wdRevisionDelete Then rvsTemp.Accept
    Next rvsTemp
    End Sub

    But I'm not really sure what you mean by changes. A change is usually a deletion and an addition next to it - do you want to leave all deletions that are adjacent to an addition?

    As a footnote to Stuart's sample code, when you change the number of objects in a collection (in this case, reducing revisions by accepting them), funny things can happen, so often it works best to use the .Count property and loop like so:

    For intcounter = CollectionItems.Count to 1 Step -1
    'blah blah blah
    Next

    Thanks for the correction. I often make that mistake! Should've tested it on a longer sample. <img src=/S/sad.gif border=0 alt=sad width=15 height=15>
