Can you give more information about the context here? For example: Are you trying to insert a graphic (if so, what kind) or edit one embedded in a document (i.e., double-clicking it) or just opening a file that contains a picture? Was the problem document created in a different version of Word, or perhaps in another program (e.g., WordPerfect)?
When I open my Word html files none of my graphics appear? And when I make a new html file with graphics (Word Art) and save it, I get the following message: Unable to load graphics conversion filter?
I recently reformatted my Hard Drive and reinstalled Office 97.

I never tried to save WordArt to HTML. When you open the actual .htm file using Notepad or WordPad, what kind of tags are there for that object/image? I suspect you'll have two: one that preserves full Word functionality, and another that displays a JPG or PNG file for web browsers. Perhaps these tags will help us nail down what filter Word is looking for.
