    Column Contents Merge (Office 2K)

I need to take the numeric contents of column A and the numeric contents of column B and concatenate them into one numeric field that will reside in column C. Both fields in column A & B are 8 digits. Column C would then house a 16 digit field. Is there an easy way or a formula for doing this?

    Thanks in advance.

    =A2&B2

    or

    =CONCATENATE(A2,B2)

you might want to use something like:
    =char(160)&A2&B2
    or
    =A2&B2&char(160)

to ensure that excel never will treat it as a number. The char(160) is a "sticky space" it looks like a space but is not treated like one. If excel ever translates your 16 digit number to a value you will lose the 16th digit (excel only has 15 digits of precision for numbers).
