    read-only files again ---

I've asked how to change the attributes without DOS before, and was advised to download "inCD" from Nero.com (I beleive)...
Could never find that file in the website. Maybe I got the name wrong or something, but am still suffering from moving files
from CD/Iomega to the computer and not being able to change them, even though I am COPYING/PASTING, not cutting...I've checked the file-types in my computer, but haven't found anything relating to 'read-only'. Sorry to repeat, but am stuck again.
    Thanks for past help <img src=/S/confused.gif border=0 alt=confused width=15 height=20>

As an addendum to R2s advice, you can change the properties of an entire folder or a large group of files with the same technique. By first selecting all the files in a folder that you want to change or selecting the folder itself and then do the right-click trick, all the files will be converted. I'm not certain if this little maneuver is version specific or not though.

If the files are being moved FROM the CD to your computer, all you need to do is right-click, select Properties and remove the check from the "Read only" box.

To modify files written TO a CD-RW disc, you need to use specific software that allows you to use the CD-RW like a floppy disk -- such as "InCD". If you did not write the disc using that specific type software, then you cannot modify files on the CD-RW disc.
