Keyboard shortcuts - no Windows key

I've just purchased a new IBM ThinkPad -- very nice keyborad, but it doesn't have a "Windows" key. There are a number of keyboard shortcuts with the Windows key that I like to use -- Windows + E to open Windows Explorer, Windows + R to open the "Run" dialog, etc. I think I remember reading that there is a key combination that you can use to replace the Windows key in these shortcuts, but now I can't find it. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Keyboard shortcuts - no Windows key

If you right-click the icon and go to Properties, you have the option to add a shortcut key of your choice. Move the cursor to this field and press "E" (for example) will enable the use of Crtl+Alt+E to open the chosen program (Windows Explorer).

    Hope this helps.
