Unprotecting Footnotes in Word (Word 2000)

I have a form document that I have protected and saved as a .dot file so that user's can tab through and enter their information without affecting my original. However, there is a second form that I refer to in a footnote and I would like to be able to unprotect the footnote only so that I can insert a hyperlink and the user's will be able to easily click and access Form #2. Can anyone suggest how I might unprotect only the Footnote. I attempted inserting a Section Break at the end of page one of the form, right before the Footnote, but this only unprotected page two of the form - the footnote is somehow tied into page one of my form and remains protected. Thanks.

    Hi Satiria:
I'm not sure that you can do it for a footnote, but to use a hyperlink in a protected form, see Links in Forms on the Word MVP website.
    Hope this helps,
