    Publish / Discussion Group (2002 / SP1)

I created a discussion page within my personal web page. My understanding is that when someone posts a msg, that the FP extensions create html pages for those msgs (000001.htm, 0000002.htm, etc.) Should these be retrieved by FP during a publish? How can I edit/maintain them? I've looked in the folder in FP that is supposed to have them and I've turned on the "show hidden pages". Thanks,

    Chris

In the event that something gets posted that I feel shouldn't be there, I'd like to edit/delete. This is a FAMILY web-site, that is fairly public. If someone were to stumble across it and post something off-color, I'd like to be able to fix it.

The easiest way is to edit the generated message pages (000001.htm, 0000002.htm). Harder is to prevent the messages from being called up at all. Been a while since I thought about it - I'll run a couple of tests and get back to you.

    Cheers

Thanks. Editing will work. Should they get retrieved during a publish event? My understanding is that I should be able to find them under a certain directory on my computer, but I can't see them. I can see them on the web, though.

Aaah, you are challenging my memory. I'm working on a system without FP today. You should be able to find them using the folder view, as you've asked to see hidden directories.
The directory you want will start with an underscore character.
