Using mixed clients in an Exchange environment (Outlook XP and 2000)

We currently have Exchange 5.5, but will be upgrading to Exchange 2003 within a month or so.

We would like to begin upgrading some (very few) users to Outlook2003, however most clients in the building will remain Outlook 2000.

Will this have any effect on permissions, sharing privileges and the like? I.e., can we work in a mixed client environment? My logic says it should be OK, but prudence has me inquiring in advance.

Thanks for any pointers you can give me,
    Ofra

Yes, it should be ok. I would recommend against hitting a mailbox with more than one version. Ol2003 changes rules etc and it causes problems. This means if Mary is using Ol2003, she should not access her mailbox using an older version, the older the version the worst the results are. Mary won't have any problems working with Sue who uses Ol2000...
