    Stream Recorder

I am looking for a "free" Stream Recorder with scheduled recording features. Free will be a plus.

I am using Creative's Audio Stream Recorder, come with the sound card, on one of the computers. I need the Stream Recorder on another computer.

    Dennis--

Here's a list of free stream recorders--I haven't used them so I can't comment but Diego has used older versions CDX and commented on this in the thread directly before this one in SWF--it's been updated and improved very recently. See:

    Re: Stream Recorder

    Hi SMBP,

I never used CDex as a stream recorder, I just used it to rip CDs. I think there was something about Streambox VCR Suite in one not-so-recent Woody's Watch issue... I always read them with an offset of +6 (months) at the very least. If I'm not mistaken Streambox VCR Suite would record audio streams. I cannot check right now, but I guess it was <img src=/S/free.gif border=0 alt=free width=30 height=15>.

I too use CDex, but heres another that I also use: Absolute MP3 Recorder. You can record live broadcasts, and it will record the sound that is playing from within your computer. Two other good features;MP3 Recorder is a stand-alone application, and it FREE. Go to the link below, about 1/4 way down thw page.
