    Using Before Double Click (2000)

I'm using the BeforeDoubleClick worksheet event, and need to change the active cell as part of this procedure. However I get a Select Method or Range class error message when I attempt to do this. I've tried turning off the 'Allow Editing in Cell' option but this doesn't help. Any ideas?

What code are you using? Something like ActiveCell.Offset(1, 0).Select or Target.Offset(0, 1).Select works for me, even if it is annoying.

I'm using the Find Method to find text that occurs in the first column, and Find that text in another sheet.. and then select it..

Try activating the other sheet before finding/selecting a cell on it.

Still no joy, and very frustrating? It gets up to selecting the sheet, but then if I try to use a Select method for a cell I get the error message 'Select Method of Range object failed'!!!!

Does the attached workbook work for you? Try double clicking one of the names in Sheet1.
