Displat templates in task pane (OXP)

Can anyone tell if there is a way to display individual templates in the task pane?

I have templates stored in a separate directory under the default templates directory and can access them by clicking on General Templates| My Templates. Two of the forty odd templates display permanently in the Task Pane and I do not know how I got them to do that!

    Cheers

See MSKB article HOW TO: Edit the Most Recently Used Template List in the New Document Task Pane in Word 2002.

Warning: mofiying the templates displayed in the task pane involves editing the Windows Registry. Be careful when doing so!

    Hans

Thanks for that. Works fine for Current_User, but we have some machines that are shared. I have tried modifying HKey_Users but can't get the instruction to stick.

If the machines are on a network, it may be possible to use a policy to set the items, but I can't help you with that. You can also save the desired settings in a .reg file and let the user open that, or use a startup script to open it.
