    Find a file ?

I am not a computer maven but I never thought I was a computer idiot either until I went searching for the C:directory file . So can someone help me and not make me feel too stupid ?

    Thanks for any help ?

    Re: Find a file ?

    Hi Coinman:

A directory (older term) is the same as a folder (newer term). I suspect that if you were told to look for C:, it would be the C drive, referring to a hard drive, not a directory. While you could name a folder "C", generally folders/directories have longer names. For organizational purposes, you can think of the computer as being divided into drives, the drives being divided into root directories (folders), & folders divided into subfolders. If you open the My Computer window, you should see all your drives listed, one of which is almost certainly the C drive.

    Hope this helps.
