    Outlook Today (2000 SP3)

I know I asked this before and got an answer but I can't search to find it. I had to install Outlook 2000 on a new machine running XPP and I cannot customize Outlook today. How can it be done? Right now the Outlook Today button does nothing.

    Thanks.

If you view the Outlook forum and click on the 'Poster' column heading, threads will be sorted by poster (descending); another click will reverse the sort order. This way you can quickly locate threads initiated by you (or any other Lounger).

I think you'll eventually arrive at OL2000: You Cannot Customize Outlook Today After You Install Critical Update 813489 for Internet Explorer.

    Hans,

If you view the Outlook forum and click on the 'Poster' column heading, threads will be sorted by poster (descending); another click will reverse the sort order. This way you can quickly locate threads initiated by you (or any other Lounger).

Just testing to see and I'm probably doing something wrong but I only see a few posts when I do the above. It doesn't seem to go back near far enough to find the post I made quite awhile ago.

    Thanks.

Well, of course you can't fit all 873 threads in the Outlook forum into one window. You'll have to use the page numbers at the bottom to find the page with your threads. For example, click 16. If you've overshot your mark, go back to half the page number: click 8, etc. If you'need to go further, click (for example) 24, etc.
I can't tell you on which page you'll find your posts, since it depends on the "Total parent posts to show per page" you have set in Display preferences (you get there from Controls).

    Hans,

I understand all that but what I'm telling you is that it only gave me the option of 2 pages and that doesn't do it.

    Thanks.

Since a picture is supposed to say more than a thousand words, I'll attach a screenshot.

    Hans,

Thanks, the "show threads from all dates" was the ticket. I only had it showing the last 2 days.

Sounds reasonable if you want to find an old post <img src=/S/laugh.gif border=0 alt=laugh width=15 height=15>
