    A pontification of <span style="background-color: #FFFF00; color: #000000; font-weight: bold"><font color=yellow>bishops</font color=yellow></span hi> (this one's a guess)

    Re: 1-6

    1) Hmm... It's now 2003 and this seems like a cryptic reference to a time long passed away. I'm sure a CD would tell me how long ago it referred to though. <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>

    2) <span style="background-color: #FFFF00; color: #000000; font-weight: bold"><font color=yellow>A drunkship of cobblers
    A glossing of taverners
</font color=yellow></span hi> are the only "oddities" I know, along with:
    A temperance of cooks
    A laughter of ostlers
    A credence of sewers

But there are other "unofficial" ones I've heard:
    An annoyance of mobile phones
An embarassment of parents (teenager talk)
    An aarmy of aardvarks
    A quilt of Windows patches

Sorry Stuart, only one in your list is correct. I'll keep it vague to keep this puzzle running
