Sound / Slide Transition (Office 2002)

I now have the sound (.wav file) embedded in my presentation, the problem I now have though is that the first slide seems to stop, let me explain

    Slide1
Background - 2 lines of text at the bottom of the page that start automatically - then come the customs transistions

    1. Music - start after previous - 0 second delay - 999 slides
    2. Text - after previous - 2 seconds
    3. Text - after previous - 2 seconds dim to red
    4. Text - after previous - 2 seconds dim to red
Slide transistion set to 30 seconds auto

Slideshow: The slideshow starts with the background, autotext + music but then thats it, the music keeps playing but the slideshow doesnt continue.

Can anybody suggest what may be wrong.

Are you using transitions or animations? The two are easily confused. Does the slideshow continue if you click the mouse or press that space bar?

I have it sorted, in case it helps anybody else

    1. Although I had the timing of the music set to after previous it should have been with previous
    2. Even doing this though the track stopped after it had played through once, the track is 3.26 and the slideshow 5.22, in effect options of the music the timing 'repeat' should be selected to end of slide.

    Hope that helps anybody else.

PS. I read somewhere that on the web there are free speech files with the most common spoken words that you can use as narrations and by combining them they make sentences etc. Has anybody heard of this, if so where can I find them and are they actually anygood.

    Take care

Unfortunately I don't know anything about speech fragments that are available, but my experience with that sort of thing is that the speech doesn't sound very natural when you string it together that way. You loose the inflection and stress that go with a sentence structure. As to the up early, nearly always - thats what 30 years of the corporate environment does for you.
