Tagging Title for updated use (2000)

I am using the Title field in the header and in the document itself. From what I understand it is pulling from the properties summary. When I change the properties it will not update everything. It only updates the header. I want the whole document to update. I can only get it to update when I print the document. Please help.

    Bull:

To manually update all fields CTRL/A to select all then F9 to update.

This doesn't update the header information though. Is there a way to do it all at once?

Not as far as I know, without creating VBA code. However, you could record a macro - do the CTRL/A, F9 in the main document, then in the Header, then in the Footer (if necessary) then attach the macro to a toolbar button.

The body & the header will both be updated when the document repaginates. You could actually create or record a macro that would switch to Print Preview & then back again to update the fields. If you turned off screen updating, then you wouldn't see a flash. Actually, Bryan Carbonnell created a macro that updates all stories at once. I could post that if you want.
    Cheers,
