    import authorizatiion.

    At home, have a new machine which came with W2000PE preloaded.
    Trying to import IE Favourites from W98 (copied into a CD), but get a message that I (logged as Administrator), am not entitled / authorized to this operation.
    Any ideas / help about what I could be doing wrong ?
    Thanks in advance.
    Daniel.

    Re: import authorizatiion.

    Errors when 'importing' from a CD is often due to inherent Read Only attributes.
    Try copying to disc and removing the Read Only att.

    nope. it didn't work.
    copied all cd contents into a c:temp (no read only properties), but still didn't import.
    will try again on the weekend w/ more time, but i'm starting to get used to idea of re-entering all manually again.
    thanks anyway.

    I did mean change the attributes on the file itself. (Right_mouse | Properties then make sure 'Read-only' is not selected).
    That's what you did?
