    Printing reports

I have report that needs to be printed to legal sized paper. The user always has to reset the page setup in preview before printing. Is there a way I can force the page setup to be legal size for this report.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What version of Access are you using and what service pack? Was the report saved for the particular printer and paper size and location?

Re: May be too obvious, but . . .

When the report is open in design view, click on File, Page Setup. Then click on the Page tab and change the size of the paper to 8.5" x 14", and if needed to Landscape.

In Access 2000 there is a bug where these settings sometimes don't hold. However, I don't believe it's been an issue with '97.

    Good luck.

In Access 2000 select Tools, Options, General (tab) and turn off the Name AutoCorrect feature. When this feature is active, the margins will reset themselves to the default 1" margins. You will need to do this to each database you work with.

    Similar Problem Custom Page Setup

I have a table of custom mailing label sizes giving margins, number of columns etc. I have set up a report that uses the same data but users can select the labels that they use from the custom specs. Using the PrtMIP property will do the trick in design mode but I don't think this is an option in a mde file in a runtime environment. The page setup options can still be manually changed in preview mode and the report reformats.
Is there a way to mimic this functionality in code perhaps using the Open event of the report?

    Thanks in advance.
