Installation of SP1 for Office XP (Office XP Pro)

Have re-installed Offixe XP on a second drive (have Office 2003 on the system drive). I did a custom install of XP, opting to install Word and PowerPoint only. The XP is an upgrade version, and I used my Office 2000 CD during the install and had no problems in recognition of the previous version.
Am trying to install the service packs for XP, but when asked for the XP Pro CD, receive an error asking for the PRORET.MSI file when trying to install SP1. Have attached a screenshot.
Would certainly appreciate some expert input!

    There are some suggestions:

    - copy entire Office XP Installation CD to separate folder on your hard drive. When prompted, point Update to this folder.

    - download SP-1 and SP-2 files to your hard drive and run them from here rather than from the network.

    - If above doesn't work, uninstall Office 2003, upgrade Office XP and re-install Office 2003.

    Many thanks, kaplinb.
I used your first suggestion, and it worked smoothly and quickly. An important tip to remember. Much appreciated.
