Preview of pot files (Wind 2000; Office XP)

    Hi,

I have placed a PowerPoint pot -file in my Workgroup-templates.

When starting PP and opening File/New the design templates are previewed at the right. But the pot-file i just saved in my Workgroup-templates says only: "MyFile not available"

How do I get it previewed properly?

    Thanks for any help.

Open the .pot file (i.e. open the template itself, as opposed to creating a new presentation based on it).
    Select File | Properties.
Make sure that "Save preview picture" is checked.
    Save and close the template.

    Does that help?

    Thanks a lot! It works.

I also came over an other "setting" which worked:

    I opened the .pot file
Clicked View/Master/Slide Master and cliked the button "Preserve Master"
    Then saved the .pot file

It would have been much easier to use the File/Properties

Thanks a lot for good and quick help!!!
