    Value as sheet name? (XL97/WinNT4)

And finally, is there a way to tell XL that, in the vlookup it's running, the name of the sheet where it should look for the range of cells is the value in row 1 of the column it's in, on the current sheet, rather than just typing in the name?

    Hope that makes sense!

You can use the INDIRECT function to list the sheet and address for the value and/or the lookup table.
