Depends upon what you need. Personally I use Palm Reader <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.peanutpress.com/home.cgi/l08783863-34271-82215>http://www.peanutpress.com/home.cgi/...63-34271-82215</A> (formerly known as Peanut Reader) as it has a good interface, reads most of the (freeware) e-books around and is freeware. However, if its 136 kb size is too much, consider CSpotRun although it recognizes less formats.
If you actually need an editor, try QED (shareware) or something similar. If you need to read/edit Microsoft Word documents, consider QuickOffice or WordSmith (both approx. 40 USD).
