MSOffice post installation test tool? (XP)

Is there a download available from MSoft, which after installing the MSOffice S/W will test it to ensure all components have been installed successfully?

    TIA.

I haven't heard of such a tool - if it exists, others will no doubt reply. Within each Office application, you can select Help | Detect and Repair... to find and fix errors in all Office files.

I suppose Microsoft would argue that if the installation process terminates correctly, then all the Office components should be working correctly...

It clearly isn't possible to test every possible configuration of hardware and software, and Office itself is so enormous that I can't imagine just how long it takes Microsoft to run through all the tests before releasing a new version or even Service Release/Pack of Office!

During the Office installation process, Office Installer creates a log in default TEMP folder, for example,
Cocuments and SettingsAdministratorLocal SettingsTempMicrosoft Office 2003 Setup(0001).txt
Check your default TEMP folder for such files (there are usually two of them, Setup and Setup_Tasks).
They contain all technical information about Office installation.

If you want to check which updates was installed on Office 2000 or Office XP installations, use Office Update Inventory Tool
