    Report printed notifier (2002)

    Is there a way of automatically setting a 'yes/no' box when a report dependant on record numbers, has been printed?

    There is no "After Print" event or something like that, and Access doesn't seem to distinguish between previewing and printing a report.

    If you initiate the printout from a form, you could so something like this:

    Private Sub cmdPrintReport_Click()
    Me.chkReportPrinted = False
    DoCmd.OpenReport ReportName:="rptMyReport", View:=acViewNormal, WhereCondition:="EmployeeID > 5000"
    Me.chkReportPrinted = True
    End Sub

    I assume you want to update the "Has Printed" flag for each record that has been printed? As Hans mentioned, there is no way to differentiate between preview and printing, which is the biggest problem. That aside, I suppose you could put some code in the report (perhaps in Print event for the Detail section or a group footer) that would update the record.

    Thanks. Looks as though I'm going to have to re-think this one.
