    New Critical Update.

Received a notification today about another new critical "Cumulative Security Update" for Internet Explorer for MS03-048 (824145).
Quoting from MS03-048: "This update replaces the one that is provided in Microsoft Security Bulletin MS03-040, which is itself a cumulative update." MS03-40 was just posted on 10/3. Looks like MS is still having trouble getting things fixed.

    Anybody tried this one yet?

    Re: New Critical Update.

Things are getting better: MS intends to release updates about once a month now instead of every few days. I haven't installed this one yet, but I will, and I haven't had any problems with updates since April or May.

I've installed this one on three different PCs running Windows XP Professional. No problems so far.

I have installed the update since my previous reply. No problems. <!profile=R2>R2<!/profile> signals irritating right-click behavior of the scroll bar in <post#=311997>post 311997</post#>, but that is easy to avoid.

Right and Left click problems! Hopefully the December Update will fix this!

There could be some more bugs brought by the current updates for some people:
