    Defaults (A2002)

Is there any way to automatically (default) set a control type event to event procedure? I rarely ever use the expression builder or macro builder.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Recommend check the little box labelled "Always use event procedures" in Tools > Options Forms/Reports tab, as illustrated.

    Select Tools | Options...
    Activate the forms/Reports tab.
Tick the "Always use event procedures" box.
    Click OK.

It pays to spend some time looking at all the options. You can use the Help button (the question mark next in the title bar of the Options dialog) to get information on each option: click the question mark, then click on an option.
The Visual Basic Editor has its own Options dialog. Note: settings for Visual Basic apply to all Office applications.
