Open File in Excel 2000 (Office 2000)

I want to invoke a macro that opens a specific file on a networked drive without asking for the file name e.g. the file name is S:blank.xls.

I tried "Workbooks.Open FileName=:s:blank.xls." Would not except because of the "". the error message read "Expected number or label or statement or end of statement".
When I omitted, the "" it couldn't find the file. The error message read "Run time error '1004' could not be found".

    Thanks.

The file name must be enclosed in double quotes, and you must use :=, not =:<pre>Workbooks.Open FileName:="s:blank.xls"</pre>

    Thanks. I'll try it.
