How to set up XP` (XP Home, SP 1)

So, we did the upgrade from ME to XP under somewhat emergency conditions (ME crashed, taking our internet connection with it). XP is up and running and we have the internet back. My question now is how to best set it up. I know nothing about XP and am looking for some BTDT type advice or write-ups that I could look at.

The environment is a home system connected to a wireless router/cable modem connection. We have two adults and two children (early teen types). I would like to set everyone up with their own logon environment (I think). I am interested in being "responsible" without being overly draconian in the kids set-up. I will need to connect older (old Micron running '95) and eventually newer PC's to the family network.

Any help or advice appreciated.

This is kind of a broad question, but one thing I would do is to click all over Microsoft' XP site and troll a lot of the links, including their Expert Zone, because they have articles on how to set up XP for a family with kids included as the users. I'll throw you a few links:
