    OL2003 and Word 2003 (ol2003)

    Hi All,
Just upgraded my ofc xp to Ofc 2003.
Now it seems that when I open a Word doc in outlook it opens it in read-only.
I want to be able to edit the silly thing.
It has to a be a configurable option...yes?

Someone please tell me what I have missed.

    TIA
    John

I just got off the phone with the MSoft Gold Partner rep (she was in India, and spoke better english than half my relatives...)
Of course HER copy of Outlook didn't do what mine does. Mine does it with ANY Office doc I tried. Seems that Excel, PPT, and Doc are doing it.

And then I have a folder of saved mail...with attachments...that some of them in there DON'T do it.

Oh man. I wonder where this will lead me to.
    Why do some do it and not others? <img src=/S/confused.gif border=0 alt=confused width=15 height=20>
