    shortcut to the desktop (Win XP)

    Hey, my buddy disappeared the shortcut that was on his quick launch tool bar. It was the icon that got him back to the desktop right from any open window. I know he could minimize any app or window until he gets to the desktop, and I am sure there is a keyboard command for doing that, too. But he used to have a shortcut right next to all the other shortcuts on the quick launch and he could click it and get right to the desktop. Anyone know how to create that again so it can be put on the tool bar?

    I searched the Lounge for about 10-15 pages of posts but couldn't find that one to help me out. Hope I am not repeating this tiresome help request. I promise to print and save answer so it won't be needed to ask again!!
    Thanks

    Create a new text file.
    Paste the following text into it:

    [Shell]
    Command=2
    IconFile=explorer.exe,3
    [Taskbar]
    Command=ToggleDesktop

    Rename the file to something with extension .scf, for example Show Desktop.scf.
    Confirm that you want to change the extension.
    Drag the file to the quick launch toolbar.
