Creating read only docs (Word 2000)

I know how to protect a document for forms and this make the document read only in respect to the text. Is there away to make the entire document read only which would include text, fields, controls, etc.?

You can set a password for editing, but the user can still modify the contents and then save it under another name.

As far as I know, there is no satisfactory way to make a Word document really read-only. A protected PDF document is a better bet.

Microsoft is working on this, releasing digital rights management tools for client and server. Unfortunately, until this software becomes widely available, others won't be able to access protected documents in the intended manner. Until then (2005? 2006?), Acrobat is a better bet.
