    Out of memory (Excel 2000)

Working with an excel file--got an error message when I attempt to open the file--"out of memory--file too large". Unable to open the file or recover it using Norton Utilities or Bad Copy. Any ideas?

Is this the same workbook as in <post#=313523>post 313523</post#>? That would point to workbook corruption. The easiest "solution" is going back to a recent backup (you make backups regularly, of course.) If it's another workbook, it's suspect that this happens twice in a short time. If it keeps occurring after restarting the computer, check your hard disk.
