    Sorting (Word 2002)

I am trying to sort data in Word XP. I need to sort Complete applicants from Incomplete applicants (for folder fronts) and sort the data by counselor # and by last name for mailing labels and folder name labels. How can I do this in Word XP. Also, all the documents that I use were created in Word 2000.

    Re: Sorting (Word 2002)

If the data is tabular, try Table>Sort and look at your numerous options. If that doesn't work, you might need to copy and paste your data into Excel to use its better analytical tools.

If the data is not tabular, then you either have to write some code or restructure your document. <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>

If the above makes no sense, perhaps you can post a sample document with fake data to give us an idea of what you're trying to do.
