ADP hooked up to MySQL (A2k2)

Has anyone here had any experience connecting a Access data project to a MySQL database? I would like to try it out to see if there are any advantages.

I would like to stay away from ODBC if I can!

    Thanks,

You can't. ADPs are strictly front ends for SQL Server. There isn't any way to use a different database server with them.

I don't believe you can currently connect an Access ADP to a MySQL database, as MySQL doesn't provide an OLE DB interface. You can however connect an Access front-end MDB to a MySQL database using ODBC - I've heard varying reports of how well it works however, as people seemed to infer that the ODBC driver for MySQL is somewhat flakey.
