    Deleted attachment re-added by Outlook 2002 (2002)

    Folks,

Long time no post (missing Search terribly). Here's a question!

If I include three attachments in a draft e-mail, save it, then change my mind and delete one of the attachments and replace it with a different one, then save, then continue drafting, then send, Outlook re-attaches the deleted document! And doesn't warn me! Potential attachment disaster!

Anyone seen this, or have an explanation or solution?

Save it after making the attachment switch, espeically if you are going to send it before the next autosave. outlook 'sees' whats on the draft, not what is on your open message.

I did Save after changing the attachment. I swear. Really. I'm going to try it in the a.m. and Save and Close before Send, because I didn't Save again before Sending after changing some text...

I find that right-click>Remove works better than the Delete key for making sure it is really gone. I made it a habit in Outlook 2000 because of this problem. (I haven't noticed it in Outlook 2002, probably for that reason.)
