    Equations in Word (3)

I work in a Law firm in Australia and we still used Equations in some documents! Can anyone recommend a book or a site that provides information on how to use it? <img src=/S/confused.gif border=0 alt=confused width=15 height=20>

I believe that Microsoft Equation Editor is a limited-feature version of a program called MathType. You might be able to search for documentation on MathType that covers the features of the Equation Editor, and more (whether this is more confusing than helpful, I wouldn't know).

For what it's worth, here is a link to the MathType Support page Jefferson was referring to. You can view or download the manual, look at technotes etc. Not very Law-oriented...

    Hi Judith,

If you haven't already, when you are in Equation Editor (after inserting Object, Microsoft Equation 3.0), click on Help, Equation Editor Help Topics. The documentation in these pages is fairly extensive and helpful with Equation Editor - print them out!

MathType looks terrific, but is probably overkill for most of the equations you'll be creating in a law firm - though the better tools might be worth the US$ 129.00 cost if you do a LOT of equations.
