    Print Preview Access 97

I have 4 reports that I want to preview consecutively so the user can view them before printing. I call this same process from 2 different macros in program. When I do this in one area I only get 3 reports previewed. When I do this in another area I get all 4 reports previewed.(It is always the same report that does not preview) If I change it from preview to print mode all 4 print both times. I have tried putting the reports in both a macro and a module and the results are always the same. At least it is consistant. I am puzzled.

    Hi Cathy,

Can you provide a little more information about the situation in which the 4th report does not preview? What's different about the two ways you're calling the macro? Are you using the same macro in both instances? Also, any code you could post will certainly help in the troubleshooting process.

    Re: Print Preview Access 97

I have a module that has 4 docmd.openreport "Report name", acpreview,"," statements in it. That is all

I have a module that processes and calls this print module. It works fine. All 4 reports preview.

I have a macro that runs this print module, this is where only preview 3. I have taken the module out of the macro and replaced it with 4 openreport actions where the view is print preview and it still does not work. The screen just sort of blinks when you would expect the preview.

To make matters even more bizzare, this macro did work at one time. It just seemed to stop working for no apparent reason. I have been writing code for a long time and I know that something does not just stop working but I can not for the life of me figure out what is going on here.

For testing purposes only I put in a msgbox after each openreport action(or docmd), report 4 will preview when the msgbox is up but disappears as soon as you hit OK. This does not happen with the other 3 reports. They all remain on the screen after you hit OK. (which is what I would expect)

I have just about given up. I told my users they are going to just have to print and not preview. But to tell you the truth it is driving me crazy.

    Cathy:
I'd take a close look at the Report itself. Check all of the properties looking for differences between it and the others. I haven't had the problem you describe, but I did go through heck trying to sort out why a particular report wouldn't export to Snapview. It turned out to be FasterLaser printing property set to yes that was causing the problem. <img src=/S/shrug.gif border=0 alt=shrug width=39 height=15>
