    restore folders, etc. (Outlook 2002)

I have had a hard disk failure and now need to restore my contacts, folders, saved messages, everything. I have an outlook.pst file that was made as a backup but I cannot figure out how to use this behemoth to restore my needed info.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    TIA

You have two choices, well maybe more. The first is to replace the new, mostly blank PST file that Outlook created for you when you reinstalled with the old one. The second is to attach the old PST as an additional PST (from Outlook, File>Open>Outlook Data File) and move or copy items selectively to the new PST. There also is import/export, but that's WAY more work than you should need to do.
